Hello @TER,

If you wish to change the trigger column to B, you will need to update it directly from your Google Sheet settings. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Open your Google Sheet.
  2. Navigate to Extensions → Pabbly Connect Webhooks.
  3. Select Initial Setup.
  4. Change the Trigger Column from G to B.
  5. Click Submit and then send a test from the sheet.
Once the test is submitted, it will be delivered to your workflow, and the “Waiting for Webhook Response” message will no longer appear.

Please try this and let us know if you encounter any difficulties. We will be happy to assist further.

Hello @TER,

Thank you for sharing the screencast.

Upon reviewing it, we noticed that in the Date/Time Formatter step, the From format was not selected correctly, which was causing the issue. We have now corrected the Date/Time Formatter configurations, and the start time and end time are passing through correctly.

Please refer to the attached images for the changes made. Let us know if you face any further issues.

Hi @TER,

Upon checking the task history, we noticed that the Google Sheets: New or Updated Spreadsheet Row trigger is capturing an empty response. Due to this, the required Date field is not being passed to the DateTime Formatter action, which is why you are seeing the “Required field Date missing” error.

This usually happens when the webhook URL is accessed directly in the browser instead of being triggered from Google Sheets via the Pabbly Connect Webhooks add-on.

Hi @TER,

No action is required from your end. Please avoid accessing the webhook URL directly in the browser.

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

Hey @TER,

Thanks for reaching out. Upon checking the Task History, we noticed that the value mapped in the Date/Time Formatter step is coming empty from the Google Sheets trigger, which is why you’re seeing the error “Required params missing”. Please refer to the attached screenshot for clarity.

To avoid this error, we recommend adding a Filter step right after the trigger to check whether the required date field is not empty before passing it to the Date/Time Formatter step.

Hi @Jhon11,

Thanks for sharing the details.

After checking the task history, the failures occurred because the webhook URL was accessed directly in the browser. This triggers the workflow with empty data, causing subsequent steps to fail. Please avoid opening the webhook URL directly in the browser to prevent this. So, you can ignore the specific error notification; no action is required from you.

For now, we have restored 100 free tasks to your account so you can test the workflow without any issues. Going forward, once tasks are exhausted, you may opt for a monthly or yearly plan to continue using the platform smoothly. Monthly plans are available at the bottom of our website under the FAQ section → “Do you have monthly plans available?”

Hi @TER,

Thank you for your question.

When we say that the webhook URL was accessed directly in the browser, we are referring specifically to the Webhook URL shown inside your trigger step in Pabbly Connect.

This is different from simply adding it in your Google Sheet in a browser.

If that webhook URL is opened manually in a browser tab the workflow gets triggered without any data, because no data is being sent from Google Sheets at that time. As a result:
  • The trigger captures an empty response
  • Required fields (like Date) become empty
  • The DateTime Formatter step fails
  • You see “Partially Failed” in Task History

As shown in the attached screenshots, when the webhook is accessed directly, the trigger receives empty data — which is why the downstream steps fail.

Let us know if you need any further clarifications.

I see, so you mean copy the webhook URL and pasted it into the browser’s address bar?
I actually dont do that. So not sure why was i prompted that error.

Hey @TER,

Yes — I meant if the Webhook URL is opened directly in the browser, it triggers the workflow with empty data.

In your forum post, the Webhook URL was shared instead of the Workflow URL. When it was accessed during checking, it likely triggered the workflow with no data, causing the error.

No issue with your setup — you can ignore that failure.

Going forward, please share the Workflow URL, not the Webhook URL to avoid such instances.
