Airtable trigger 'update record..'

Is there a 'Create or update record' trigger for the Airtable application?
Or is the existing 'Add record' trigger will work as an update if the record already exists?

Hey @HashimSamy

No, that wouldn't work for receiving an updated record. And currently, the Update Record trigger event is not available on the platform.

Please check all available integration for Airtable integration here - https://www.pabbly.com/connect/integrations/airtable/

Please explain why there is not a Trigger based on an Updated Record for Airtable? This is very limiting so only new records can be used? Is there any workaround?I Is it that complicated to fix or add this feature? I even tried to make a "fake" Created field based on an Updated time but OH NO it's not allowed either. SMH

We understand that this limitation can be quite restrictive, as it only allows for new records to be used as triggers for automation.

The reason behind the unavailability of an updated record trigger is primarily due to the fact that the platform does not currently support the Update Records API. This means that the necessary infrastructure and functionality required for triggering actions based on record updates have not been implemented. So we recommend you post the request on the platform here - https://pabbly.hellonext.co/
