Now the PayPal payments for manually added subscriptions will also work in automation. Prior to this, the automated payments for manual subscriptions were supported by stripe only. So, you can create a manual subscription for your customers, share the payable invoice with them and they can choose to pay through PayPal and their recurring payments will work in automation.
So, here are the cases for which PayPal automated payments will work for manual subscriptions.
1. A manual subscription is created and the payable invoice is sent to the customer. The customer chooses to pay through PayPal.
2. The first payment of a manual subscription fails through some other gateway, then the customer chooses to pay through PayPal.(Applicable for first invoice only)
