Hello Pabbly Team,

I’m facing a critical issue with my automation during high-volume payment scenarios, and I’d like your guidance on this.

Workflow setup:

  • Trigger: Razorpay – Payment Successful
  • Action: Send automated WhatsApp message via WATI
  • Entire automation is handled through Pabbly Connect
Issue observed:
After my live webinar, I send a Razorpay payment link to attendees.
At that time, many participants make payments almost simultaneously (within seconds).

However, I’ve noticed that:

  • The automation does not trigger for all successful payments
  • Several paid users do not receive the automated WhatsApp message
  • Razorpay shows the payment as successful, but the Pabbly workflow is not triggered for some transactions
This issue mostly happens only when multiple payments occur at the same time, not during normal low-volume payments.

My concern / question:

  • Is there any rate-limit, queue delay, or webhook drop in Pabbly when many Razorpay events fire at the same time?
  • Does Pabbly process Razorpay webhooks sequentially or in batches?
  • Is there a recommended buffer, delay, or retry mechanism for high-frequency payment events?
  • Any best-practice setup for webinar-based bulk payments?
This is impacting paid users’ onboarding, so I want to ensure no successful payment misses automation execution.

Looking forward to your technical insights and solution suggestions.

Thank you,
Neel Vora

Hello @Neel Vora,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing the detailed scenario.

The Razorpay trigger you are using is a webhook-based trigger, which means the workflow is triggered only when Razorpay sends the webhook event for a successful payment.

A few important points to clarify:
To investigate this further, we request you to please share:
  • Details of specific users/payments who completed payment in Razorpay but did not receive the WhatsApp message (e.g., payment ID, email, phone number, or timestamp).
  • Additionally, please check your WATI message logs/history to confirm whether any message failures or errors were recorded at the time of sending.
Once we have these details, we can review the task history and webhook logs more precisely and guide you accordingly.

Looking forward to your update.

Here are three examples of the many who have note received the automated message even after Razorpay captured their payment at the right time but the automation did not get triggered and the payee had to message us:

Also, no errors were recorded in Wati message history

Please assist at the earliest as this is a major concern for me.
