ChatGPT rate of failure has exponentially increased last 24 hours

Task is failing exponentially more in the last few days, I end up with nothing all because of the timeout. Is there anything I can do to mitigate this as this has only spiked in the last day or two.

As we can see from your workflow's task history, we can see that you are using Chat GPT in a very extensive manner and because of that, their API server is not responding to your API call in under 40 seconds.
So, as a solution, we would recommend you use the Delay action step before the Chat GPT action step. I hope this might help you out.
I've added the delay step and still isn't working and same outcome

The 40-second time restriction is usually adequate unless you are coming up with a really intricate response.
For the time being, I'd have to say that we won't be able to wait more than 40 seconds for the response from an external programme.
