Fallback values

Hi,
How can i set a fallback value for a required field. If I get a value from the trigger, that value should be used. I if do not get a value from the trigger, a fallback value should be used. I. can't quite figure out how to do this, without doing filters etc.

For instance, I need "name" always filled in this request:
