I have a task that creates an event in google cal. However, every time it runs it creates a duplicate event.

The task:

1. Schedule by Pabbly : Once A Week

2. API by Pabbly (connect to BandsInTown to pull All upcoming show dates)

3. Iterator by Pabbly (Separate data)

4. Text Formatter by Pabbly : Split Text (to split the event name with the venue name)

5. Google Calendar : Create an Event

Please help!!!

the reason to run it every week is to pull any new shows that have been booked to add to the cal.

Hey @Firetog

To validate the duplicate entries to your Google Calendar, you need a filter action step where you can check that the event contains the particular event in the particular array(API action step) already or not with the help of Google Calendars' "Search Event". Kindly check out the following screenshot and try the action step at your end.

Where should this step go?

Hey @Firetog

You can set the respective steps to the last-second action step before Google Calendar "Create an Event".

This is honestly ridiculous, and I'm constantly wasting tasks trying to get them to work and also hitting the limit of my google cal requests.

@Supreme , Zapier was able to do this with ease. No headache and less time with fewer tasks.
Your method is still duplicated....and multiple times causing an error in connection because of how many times it sends out requests.
and once again... it's eating up my Tasks even trying to figure this out, it's kind of obnoxious.

Hey @Firetog

We are currently looking into your concern and will update you in a while. Further, we have also reset the task limit as well.

Hey @Firetog

We have added the Google calendar's "Search or Create Detailed Event" as per your concern. Now we would request you to try this at your end and share your feedback.
