Gravity Form Field IDs

I have created multiple workflows from Gravity Forms to Xero, and the issue I have is the ID of the form field in gravity forms when it comes through to Pabbly, changes, depending on what is filled in on the form. For example, I have a field ID in my form that is 97, but this can be something different in the response in Pabbly every time I fill the gravity form in - so the connection between the form, and the merge fields in Pabbly, differs depending on what other fields I fill in on the form itself

This means that I can't get an accurate connection from that field into Xero, because it keeps changing!

Hi @clarebradbury,

To fix this issue, you need to ensure that the form is filled out consistently. You can make the fields in your form mandatory, which will prevent the shuffling of the keys associated with the fields, and you won't encounter this issue.

That isn't possible.. the form has choices - so will never be consistent (as with many forms in general).

I have exactly the same form that does the same job with Zapier - and don't have this problem. Is there no other way?

Could you please share the workflow URL where you have this concern, along with the form associated with this workflow?

Sure. Here is the URL with the form on https://staging.calibrequalitycare.org.uk/timesheet/

There are a few workflows we have setup to do different things but here they are

For example, I need the figure from the mileage and expenses at the bottom of the gravity form to be in the Line item amount in a Xero invoice, but if you fill the form out differently (choose more than one day of the week to fill in, or add extra hours) - the ID changes so it doesn't work

Hope this helps and really hope you can find a solution as I'd love to stay with Pabbly rather than going back to Zapier

Thanks

Hello @clarebradbury

The trigger you are using is a descriptive webhook, hence the response you are receiving is sent by the application end.

Kindly modify your form so that fields are visible in the response instead of numbers. Let us know if it works for you.
