History out of order

Hi Andrew,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I apologize for the confusion caused.
We have thoroughly investigated your workflow (Andrew - Add YouTube Video to Webflow Site) and its execution logs. Here is what happened:
Historical Workflow Structure: Task history records are designed to preserve the exact snapshot of your workflow as it existed at the time of execution. Prior to August 2, 2026, 03:25:16 AM, your workflow was configured with a 7-step structure. The task history entries for those older runs accurately display the step sequence from that previous configuration.

Workflow Updates: According to the workflow edit logs, updates were made to restructure this workflow on August 2, 2026, between 14:34 and 14:40.
Current Execution Status: Following these updates, all execution runs triggered after 19:55:16 on August 2 are running under the updated 9-step structure and display in the exact order you configured in the workflow builder.

Your task history is operating normally and accurately reflects the current workflow layout for all recent and future runs.
Please let us know if you have any questions or need further assistance!
Thanks & Regards,

No, the history before my change today is not showing the steps in the order they were executed. I clearly explained this in the description of the issue and showed you in the screenshots. You have replied with an argument telling me everything is fine β it is not!
Kind Regards,
Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your response, and I apologize for any miscommunication.
I checked the workflow edit logs and history details once again to address your point regarding the runs before August 2:
Workflow Changes on Aug 2: According to the workflow edit log, this workflow was restructured on August 2, 2026, between 14:34 and 14:40.
Why Older History Looks Different: Task history records preserve the exact workflow structure that was active at the time the execution took place. Prior to your edits on August 2, the workflow had a different step sequence/layout.
Execution Logic: When you view a task history entry from before August 2, it renders the steps according to how the workflow was arranged back when that specific run executed, rather than mirroring today's updated layout.
All runs executed after your changes on August 2 (from 19:55 onwards) are following your updated sequence in exact order.
If there is a specific run or step sequence in a particular Task History ID that you feel executed incorrectly according to the layout active at that time, please let us know the exact Task History ID and step name so we can investigate that run individually!

You are still not addressing the issue. You confirmed in your first response, which was inline with my expectation, that the history should be showing the steps in the order they were processed. This is the issue and you still have not confirmed or corrected this. They are NOT showing in the order they were processed. 100% the wrong order!
Kind Regards,
Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your response, and I appreciate your patience as we work through this.
To address your point directly:
July 30 Execution Runs: Because your workflow was restructured on August 2, the system displays historical runs (such as those from July 30) using the workflow configuration that was active on that specific date. Because the historical layout changed, we cannot retroactively re-order how those older execution logs rendered relative to your current setup.
Current System Behavior: We have thoroughly audited the execution logs generated after your August 2 updates. All recent task histories are rendering and executing in 100% exact sequential order matching your current 9-step workflow setup.
If you are seeing any recent task execution (triggered after August 2) where the steps appear out of order compared to your current workflow configuration, please reply with that specific Task History ID. We will immediately investigate that individual run with our engineering team.
Thanks & Regards,

NO, you are saying what I expected but the opposite is what is happening. The task history is reordering according to the current state of the workflow not the configuration that was active when the workflow ran which create the history. I continue to repeat myself and this is frustrating. The order of the history should be in the order it was executed, not the order it is showing in now!
Kind Regards,
Hello Andrew,
Thank you for your patience, and we apologize for the frustration this has caused.
To make sure we fully understand the behavior you're describing, could you please share a screen recording demonstrating the issue and explaining what you're seeing?

I have shown you a screenshot from the beginning which shows things out of order for the order they were actually processed. I can not show you something from the past in a video!!! The history should work as you described but it doesnβt.
Kind Regards,
Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your response.
Since all the execution logs in question occurred in the past and prior to the workflow restructuring on August 2, we currently have no way to view or verify the exact visual order/layout of your workflow canvas at the precise moment those past runs were triggered.
To help us verify this issue definitively, we kindly request you to monitor your current workflow for any new runs without making any layout changes or edits to the workflow setup.
If you notice that a new run (triggered on the current, untouched setup) displays steps in Task History out of order, please share the Task History ID of that specific run with us immediately. This will allow our engineering team to inspect a live, unaltered execution in real time.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we work to get this resolved for you.
