WOWRIDER — Question ·

I am getting spreadsheets uploaded through google forms. Now I want to use these sheets to add up data to another master google sheet. How do I do this?

If I upload an excel file into a google drive, can the data in that excel file get populated into another google sheet which also has same headers?

Hey @WOWRIDER

To transfer data or synchronize spreadsheets with Excel, you may refer to the following video tutorial.

No this is from google sheet to excel.
My question is if an a=excel file is dropped into google drive.
Can that excel file in drive be converted into a google sheet?

Converting an Excel file directly to a Google Sheet just by dropping it into Google Drive isn't directly possible. Google Drive treats Excel files as distinct file types from Google Sheets. To convert an Excel file (.xlsx or .xls) into a Google Sheet format (.gsheet), you typically need to open the Excel file in Google Sheets and then save it as a Google Sheets file. This process involves manually opening the Excel file within Google Sheets to convert and work with it in the Google Sheets environment.
