Mautic Custom Field

Hi Team, I added a custom field to my contacts in Mautic which I need to update based on a response I get from my 3rd party app. I am not able to update the custom field on an existing contact because it does not show.

the option that allows me to update an existing contact does not show my custom fields

but

the option that allows me to create a new contact, shows my custom field.


Can I get some help please?

Hey @sneakychrono

We looked into your workflow and would recommend you to use the "Add/Update with Custom fields" whereas you can update the custom fields and others too.
Further, it looks like you have already sorted your update concern, and the workflow seems working. Kindly try again and let us know if that works for you.

Hi, I don't have "Add/Update with Custom fields" I took a screenshot showing the choices that I have.

I have a feeling I am missing some choices. Based on your screenshot I see you have "Data In" and "Data Out" options.

Mine does not look like that at all. But it works now, I had to put data for first name and email so that it updates the contact that has those criteria.

Thank you for your help.


Now my next question is how do I create an "else" choice?

Glad to hear that you get the solution of your custom fields in Mautic. Although if you want to establish the if-else conditions in your workflow you might need to use the Router action step to build the further action steps according to the conditional situation.

You can learn the router condition with the help of our tutorial video-
