Pabbly Subscription Dates

Hello, I am trying to understand the dates in the subscription object

1723742926544.png

There are three events in the table above.
Initial registration as date1
Expected renewal - when pabbly calculates the renewal payment is expected - date2
Actual payment for renewal/upgrade/downgrade - date3

How are those three dates align with subscription dates?

When actual payment is received for renewal/upgrade/downgrade which date will reflect it?
  1. Starts_at
  2. Activation_date
  3. Last_billing_date
  4. Created_at

Please advise

Thanks

Kate

Hello @yurika
To clarify how the dates in the subscription object of Pabbly subscription Billing, align with the events you mentioned:
  1. Initial Registration (date1): This corresponds to the Created_at date. It reflects when the subscription was initially created, regardless of whether it starts immediately or scheduled at a future date.

  2. Expected Renewal (date2): This is when Pabbly Subscription Billing displays the expected renewal payment according to the billing cycle of the plan. It is represented as the Next Billing Date, which corresponds to the billing cycle of your plan.

  3. Actual Payment for Renewal/Upgrade/Downgrade (date3): When the actual payment is received, it affects the following dates in the subscription object:
    • Starts_at: This date shows when the subscription begins. For existing subscriptions, this date does not change with renewals or upgrades but reflects the original start date.
    • Activation_date: This reflects the date when the first payment was received and the subscription was activated and it will not get affected.
    • Last_billing_date: This date indicates when the last payment was captured. For recurring subscriptions, it updates each time a payment is made and reflects the most recent billing event.
    • Created_at: This remains constant and indicates when the subscription was initially created. It does not change with renewals or upgrades.
In summary, for the actual payment received, the Last Billing Date and Next Billing Date are the dates that will be updated to reflect the payment.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask!
