Recurring Claude API timeouts and HTTP 500 errors in automated workflows

I'm experiencing persistent issues with Claude API integration in my Pabbly Connect workflows:

  1. Current Setup:
  • Using Claude 3 Sonnet for content generation
  • Retry attempts set to 3 times
  • Added 3-minute delays between tasks
  • Multiple content generation tasks in sequence
  1. Problems Encountered:
  • Frequent 25-second timeouts
  • HTTP 500 errors (blank responses)
  • Workflow execution stops due to these errors
  • Retries don't resolve the issues
  • Adding delays between all tasks consumes too many task credits
  1. What I've Tried:
  • Switched to Claude 3 Sonnet (still getting timeouts)
  • Implemented retry logic (up to 3 attempts)
  • Added 3-minute delays between tasks
  • Set up error handling
Feature Request: Could you consider making the Delay action a free task? This would help users implement proper rate limiting without consuming valuable task credits.

Question: Are there any other recommended approaches to handle these API timeout issues without excessive task credit consumption? Any best practices for managing multiple Claude API calls in sequence?

Regarding the 25-second issue, unfortunately, we cannot resolve that on our end. Pabbly Connect waits for the API to respond within 25 seconds, but if a response isn't received in that time, you will encounter this error.

The 500 error code indicates there’s an issue on the application’s end. In such cases, you would need to contact the Claude team directly to address the problem.

Additionally, could you please explain the workflow and the requirements of the steps you’ve added? This will help us suggest potential workarounds or assist you in setting up the necessary delay.
