Reddit connections broken, use and creation are both broken

Much like in https://sales.pabbly.com/forum/threads/reddit-connection-broken.196486

I am experiencing the same issue, and have been for about aweek.

I would have responded in there, but the thread is now closed.

Starting on July 17th, I started getting failures on my Reddit "Submit a Test post" workflow step.

The error displayed is:

Re-running the task gives the same failures.

When attempting to setup a new OAuth connection, Reddit gives an error. The link is:
https://www.reddit.com/api/v1/authorize?duration=permanent&response_type=code&client_id=b-pzn_T2fKqpMg

Which appears to point to v1 of reddit's api with a client id that is no longer valid.

To follow up on my last thread, which was closed without a resolution:

I’m a little confused why the burden is on the customer to prove the Reddit connection is broken. At this point, two different customers have reported the same issue, and a quick test on your side should reproduce it.

This appears to be a broader issue with the Reddit integration. Existing Reddit connections no longer work, and creating new Reddit connections also fails, which suggests the Reddit API integration likely needs to be updated rather than there being an issue specific to my account.

As I did in the previous thread, I’ve granted your team access to my account. I’ve also included the workflow ID and task ID in this ticket so you can reproduce the problem directly.

If you’re able to test creating a new Reddit connection or using an existing one, I believe you’ll see the issue immediately.

Hi Brian,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and providing the workflow and task IDs.

To help our technical team investigate and resolve this connection issue promptly, could you please share a short video or screen recording showing the exact steps and the error message you receive when attempting to create a new Reddit connection?

Once we have the screen recording, we will escalate this directly to our engineering team to inspect the API configuration and fix the issue for you.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation!

I've created a video of myself trying to create a new reddit connection (while logged into both PabblyConnect and Reddit), and trying to use the existing connection.

Hi Brian,

Thank you for providing the screen recording!

Recent policy and API updates on Reddit's end have affected the authentication process, causing existing connections and new setup attempts to fail.

Our engineering team is actively investigating this issue to update our Reddit integration accordingly. We will update you as soon as a fix is deployed.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation in the meantime!
