Verify or update phone country code for WhatsApp.

Our lead capture form collects country and WhatsApp number onto Google sheets but some people forget to put the country code as part of the WhatsApp number entered. Has anyone created a workflow to lookup the country code and verify that it is correct or add the missing country code before being sent to WhatsApp?
