Issues with Fetching Images Stored in Google Drive (for social posting)

Hi

Workflow ID: https://connect.pabbly.com/workflow/mapping/IjU3NjYwNTZiMDYzMTA0MzY1MjY0NTUzNDUxMzIi_pc

So, I am trying to retrieve a visual saved in Google drive and post it on Reddit & Instagram as photo/image post. The folder and images are public.

But whenever my Instagram or Reddit is triggered it gives bad image error (using Drive link to post these images as posts). Attached ss below:

I saw the videos on YT but didn't help. Please guide.

Hi @arsachdeva,

We have added a 'File Uploader (Pabbly)' step to your workflow to upload the downloadable Google Drive link. Then, we mapped the URL received in the response to the Instagram action step, which seems to have resolved your issue.

As for the issue you're encountering in the Reddit action step, please allow us some time to look into it. We will get back to you with an update soon.

Ok. Thanks. This worked for IG.

Another query:

The trigger here is RSS and I've configured it to filter based on different 'guid'. For some reason, it is only fetching the first item in the RSS. Tried multiple times.

Am I don't something wrong?

I chose 'new item in feed'. So, it should only trigger when new pages/items come to feed. But it didn't work so far.

Is there something extra I need to configure?

It seems like you have removed the Reddit action step from this workflow, due to which our technical team wasn't able to look into the issue. Please add the step again and let us know.

Also, could you please elaborate a bit more on what you mean by only being able to fetch the first item?

1. RSS Issue. Ideally, when a new post/item is added to RSS, the flow should be triggered. But this is not happening on autopilot. I have been trying for 2 days now , but the flow is not being triggered. When I manually request, it only fetches the first ‘post’ from the rss feed only. I added guid filter to sort this issue. But still, the flow is not triggered.

2. Added reddit step. You can check now.

Hello @arsachdeva,

Thank you for your patience.

Regarding the RSS issue, after discussing with the team, we’ve observed that no new feed items have been added to the RSS feed recently. As a result, the workflow hasn’t been triggered, and no data is reflected in the task history.

Could you please confirm if a new feed item has been added? If so, and the workflow still didn’t trigger, do let us know so we can investigate further.

The last three 8 items in the feed have been after setting up this trigger. But it didn't trigger automatically. When I try to fetch it manually (Save & Send Test Request), it only captures first item in RSS - Sunlit Romance: Corset and Floral Dream.

When it should ideally capture the newest item (Which in this case is titled - Artsy Vibes: Laid-Back College Chic).

You can check RSS feed here: https://outfits.toteaa.com/items.rss

Hello @arsachdeva,

Could you please confirm whether any new feed item has been added after "Sunlit Romance: Corset and Floral Dream"? This will help us determine if the RSS trigger is functioning as expected.

Looking forward to your confirmation.

Hello @arsachdeva,

As per our understanding, the latest post in your RSS feed is determined by the last build date, which currently shows as 19th July for the RSS feed URL.

Additionally, based on the information and screenshot provided, it appears that the feed item you've indicated is indeed the most recent item captured in your RSS feed.

Kindly correct us if this understanding is inaccurate. Otherwise, it seems everything is functioning as expected.

The item you highlighted is just the first item (which was first published when site got live).... what about next items like in the SS you shared , there's the next item (Whimsical Udaipur Charm in Regal Layers). The RSS feed I shared is an iterative feed as far as I know. The latest item gets added to the end of the RSS (and not beginning).

I tried adding GUID filter as suggested to differentiate between RSS entries but it didn't work for me. Every time I click Save & Send, only then the first item gets fetched only.

I am also trying to understand how the trigger gets processed. Till now, It hasn't triggered ever after I first set it up (the build date gets updated every time a new item is added)

I guess I know the issue. The website builder I am using has a tricky RSS ... instead of last post at the top, it shows the first post at the top of RSS feed (hence the issue of repetition and non triggers). Let me check if I can update RSS feed and see if it works then.

Thank you anyway for being patient and helping. I will contact in case I need any more help.

Just in case you have any workaround, do let me know too.
