AI Assistant vs FLOWS

Hi, I am planning to have FLOWS along with AI assistant. Is it possible to have both to handle customer queries? If my customer messages me, which one will be triggered first if enabled?

Flows and the AI Assistant are two different concepts, each serving a unique purpose in handling customer queries.
  • The AI Assistant responds to chats instantly based on the knowledge base you provide. While it cannot currently be added as a team member or assigned chats via routing rules, you can manually enable the AI Assistant toggle from the inbox for each individual chat when you want it to handle messages, for example, when you're away.
  • On the other hand, Flows are triggered based on specific conditions:
    • You need to set custom keywords that the user must send to trigger a specific flow.
    • Alternatively, if you set the flow to trigger if the user replies to a template message with quick replies, the flow gets triggered when the user selects one of those reply buttons.
Additionally, you would be able to use the AI Assistant inside Flows, which allows for even more intelligent and dynamic automation.

Could you please share material on this. I could not find usage of AI assistant inside FLOWS.

Also, let me explain a scenario. I want to embed the AI assistant chat in my website through your embed code. But, that will always trigger the AI assistant first right? I want the FLOWS to be triggered first before it moves to AI assistant. Otherwise, could you please provide a separate embed for a normal chat opening that triggers flows.

In my FLOWS, I have also kept a no-keyword regex. Any input from a customer will automatically guide them to a FLOW before the assistant takes over. Please help me with the material on how to connect assistant automatically inside FLOWS. This will solve the problem for me.

Hello Pabbly, the AI inside flows should be the most important thing in the chatflow platform. If we can't use the AI inside FLOWS, it defeats the whole purpose of automations
