Hello, I’m migrating from Chatbase to Pabbly Chatflow. In Chatbase, I can create an agent, assign a inbound WhatsApp number to it, and that agent automatically responds to all messages sent to that number.

In Pabbly Chatflow, I see that WhatsApp numbers and AI Assistants are created separately. My use case is as follows: I want to connect 4 inbound WhatsApp numbers and create 4 AI Assistants, with a 1:1 relationship, so that each assistant responds exclusively to its corresponding number.

My goal is this:

Number 1 → Assistant 1

Number 2 → Assistant 2

Number 3 → Assistant 3

Number 4 → Assistant 4

Additionally, I need this to work without human intervention, meaning:

without manually assigning chats,

with automatic replies for all incoming conversations,

and for this to also apply to new contacts or new conversations.

According to the documentation, in Inbox Settings you can enable AI Auto Reply, choose All Contacts or a Contact List, and select an AI Assistant.

My specific question is:
Can this assignment be configured independently for each WhatsApp number, so that each number has its own AI Assistant and automatically responds to all new conversations without mixing numbers?

If possible, I would appreciate exact step-by-step instructions on how to set this up correctly.

To clarify, each WhatsApp number in Pabbly Chatflow is connected to its own Inbox, and have its own contact list and AI Auto Reply configuration.

Based on this architecture, you can assign a different AI Assistant to each Inbox. This would allow you to set up the following configuration:

  • Number 1 → Assistant 1
  • Number 2 → Assistant 2
  • Number 3 → Assistant 3
  • Number 4 → Assistant 4
When AI Auto Reply is enabled for an Inbox and configured for a contact list the assigned AI Assistant will automatically respond to incoming messages for that WhatsApp number, including messages from new contacts and new conversations. No manual chat assignment or human intervention is required.

Since the AI Assistant assignment is configured separately for each Inbox, conversations received on one WhatsApp number will be handled only by the AI Assistant assigned to that Inbox and will not be mixed with conversations from other numbers.
