Hello,
I would like to know if there is a way to update a cell in a Google Spreadsheet by calculating the average, considering all the values that have already been sent to that same cell.

Can we do that with any Pabbly app?

Hi @Carlos Melo,

Average of what, exactly? Could you please elaborate a bit more on your specific use case? This will allow us to access the possibility of your use case.

Sure, I'll go into more detail.
A certain cell in my spreadsheet, for example G5, is filled with a number and it will be constantly updated, that is, a new number will be added to this cell from time to time.

What I need is an automation that is capable of updating the existing number in this cell but always calculating the average, taking into account the number of times this cell received a new number.

For example, at the moment cell G5 has the number 15, and 4 numbers have already been entered in this cell, at different times. In other words, this number 15 represents the sum of the 4 numbers divided by 4.

When the next number arrives, the calculation will be made that will add the 5 numbers (the first 4 + the current one) divided by 5, so that we continue to have the numerical average in this cell.
