Google Doc - Create Document from Template in Google Shared Drive

Hi there,

I would like to create a google document from google doc template but when I search for my template it does not show. The template is located in our companys shared drive. The search in pabbly only shows items in my personal drive.

Is there anyway of using shared drives for templates and saving the output document into a shared drive (i.e. we have specific folders that all team members need to see).

As of now, you cannot search a file in a shared drive for your account but you can move a file from a personal to Shared Drive with the help of Google Drive: Move a File into Shared Drive action step.
 
OK can I please add this as a feature request - it is really important for teams that are working with Google workspaces as you can't always have template files in personal folders.
