Google Sheets Add New Row

Status
Not open for further replies.
Something has recently changed since around November 1st with the "Add New Row" action for Google Sheets integration. This used to add the new row at the bottom of the sheet which was perfect but since November 1st now it adds the row at the top which makes no sense at all. Any column headings that are in row 1 get pushed down lower and lower now causing all sorts of issues with other integrated systems that rely upon the column header names in row 1. Why was this changed and can you please fix this promptly?

Hey @andrewstrealtor

Sorry for the inconvenience can you please tell us if you have added any gap or empty row between the first entered row in your desired sheets?

Further, can you please try reconfiguring the "Add New Row" action step once and then try again?

It appears that if cell A1 is blank, it will add a new row at the top instead of at the bottom. This means A1 can not be left blank which seems like something that should be corrected with Pabbly or with Google.

It's advisable to refrain from leaving empty spaces in the top rows of your sheets to prevent the inclusion of unnecessary row data in your automation process.

@Supreme
Same issue here. My first row is a header (A1 is not empty). But still the new rows are getting added on top (first row). I tried re-connecting the sheet and created flow. But still same issue. Please help.

@rajeswernaidu !

Please make sure that no header columns of the Google Sheet(row1) are empty.

Leaving any header columns empty will lead to adding new data on top of Google Sheets rows.
