Issue Refunding PayPal Recurring Payments

When trying to issue a refund for a PayPal recurring subscription, I received the attached error message: "The refund will not work in the case of PayPal recurring. You can refund directly from the gateway and record the refund here."

I understand that one-time PayPal payments work fine for refunds, but is this a known limitation for recurring PayPal subscriptions?
Do you plan to support refunds for PayPal recurring in the future, or is this generally not possible due to PayPal's API?

For now, I refunded manually via PayPal and recorded the refund in PSB.

Yes, this is a known limitation from PayPal's end when it comes to recurring payments. Refunds for PayPal subscriptions cannot be processed directly. You would need to issue the refund manually from your PayPal account, and then record refund in Pabbly Subscription Billing (PSB) as you've done.

We understand this may not be ideal, but unfortunately, it is a restriction imposed by PayPal’s API for recurring transactions.
