Hi Pabbly Team,

I’m experiencing an issue with LeadConnector v2 → GoHighLevel integration. Even when the Email field is completely blank, I’m getting the following error in Task History:
Message: email must be an email
Error: Unprocessable Entity
StatusCode: 422
TraceId: dae18269-933b-4f7b-9a25-194be573f9b0


Workflow Details:
  • Trigger: Email Parser / Gmail (receiving Teledirect registration emails)
  • LeadConnector v2 Action: Create/Update Contact in GoHighLevel
  • Email field: intentionally left blank
  • Phone field: correctly mapped
  • Other fields mapped: Name, Seminar Title, Meeting Info

Issue:
Even though the Email field is blank, LeadConnector is apparently sending something to GHL, and GHL rejects it because it’s not a valid email format. I’ve confirmed:
  • No mapping is selected in the Email field
  • No default values are set
  • Text formatter / modify text option is unavailable in LeadConnector v2
I suspect this might be a LeadConnector internal handling of blank / null email fields.
Request:
Could you advise how to properly submit contacts with Phone only and no Email, without triggering this 422 error?

Hi @rizacantel,

Please try using LeadConnector: Create or Update a Contact action step instead.
