Pay Transaction Fees?

Hello Pabbly Community,

My wife and I are the co-founders of PIFster, the Pay It Forward charity, where users donate as little as $1 dollar per month and then suggest and vote on causes that are important to them and their community. At the end of each month, the cause with the most votes, receives the community donation. I am INCREDIBLY excited to learn about Pabbly Connect and Pabby Subscription Billing. We currently are maintaining a web app, and iOS and Android mobil apps, and it's becoming prohibitively expensive, so I've been daydreaming about building the core functionality of our apps directly into our website, and getting away from relying on developers and the constant fear that Google or Apple will do something that'll break our app.

Basically, I need the ability to conditionally allow users to vote only AFTER they've set up a recurring donation. Then I need to tally the total community donation, and the votes, until midnight on the last day of the month, at which point I need to log a winner, and move the next batch of vetted charities from a staging area to the voting page.

I have two questions:

1) Do you offer a discount for registered nonprofits? I'm inclined to get the full LTD, but we're a very small charity and funds are tight.

2) Is there a way to allow users to pay the transaction fees? I currently have a Bit Flow form which conditionally calculates the total with fees if the user clicks a checkbox. I supposed I could use that form, connected thru Pabbly Connect to feed the total into Pabbly Subscription Billing, right?

Attached is an image showing what I mean. The Stripe fee, btw, is 2.99% + .30 cents per transaction...

Hello @conleec ,

Yes, we do offer the discount to registered NGO. We have already replied to this query over the ticket no. #117376 please have a look and share the relevant details accordingly.

Currently, in Pabbly Subscription Billing, we have the option to collect transaction fees from your customers. However, you can use Pabbly Connect to create a new plan that includes the total fees from Bitflow. You can then redirect the user to this new plan's checkout page to complete the payment.

If I use Bit Form to collect donors' information, as in the image above, can I just use Pabbly's Subscription service to collect the payment, ie seamlessly? Or would this form then feed another form, and the user would have to hit another button to complete the transaction? Obviously, I want the flow to be as easy and organic as possible.

Hello @conleec ,

Yes, you can use the Pabbly Subscription Billing checkout page to collect the donor's information.

Additionally, for your use case, you can create an addons for the transaction fee you are trying to collect. This way, users can select the addon if they wish to pay the transaction fee.

I will read up on addons. Will that fee be charged every month / year when the donation renews? And I still don't understand if the original (in the vintage app) subscription needs to be cancelled when I attached the account to the Pabbly app? I don't want my customers being charged twice, suddenly...
