I have the following workflow:

RSS (New Item in Feed) -> Text Formatter (HTML to Markdown) -> Text Formatter (Truncate) -> API (Execute API Request)

It works fine when I click "Save & Send Test Request" in the last action node (Execute API Request), but when it's "live" the trigger never executes even 24 hours after a new item was added to my Reddit RSS feed.

What am I missing? Should I switch to the legacy RSS trigger?

Hi @10basetom,

It appears that you have already captured the latest feed in your RSS (Pabbly) trigger step, which is why we’re unable to determine the exact reason for the issue you’re encountering.

Please monitor your workflow for some time and wait for 24 hours after a new feed is published. If your workflow doesn’t trigger within 24 hours of a new feed being published, do let us know—without clicking the ‘Save & Send Test Request’ button in your Reddit (Pabbly) trigger step.

Thanks for the reply. I was trying various things to try and make it work, and one thing I definitely tried was clicking Test & Save on the last node again. The reason I was doing this was because the news item published a day ago and the trigger never executed, so I was troubleshooting the issue. I'm beginning to think Reddit implements aggressive caching on their RSS feeds because even when the new item shows when you enter the feed URL directly, the preview in Pabbly still showed the old content.

Thank you for sharing the additional insights. Do let us know if your workflow doesn’t trigger within 24 hours of the feed being published (without clicking the ‘Save & Send Test Request’ button in the trigger step).
