Hi, is there anything new on this? I can't use Pabbly Connect like this as it's impossible to troubleshoot any of me or my customers' flows:

Our technical team has informed us that Google Drive currently does not have a trigger event that triggers for files uploaded to subfolders of a specific folder.

At this time, the only way to achieve this use case is by using the New File trigger step and the complicated workflow we have set up on your behalf. This trigger will fire for every file uploaded to your Google Drive, regardless of where it is uploaded. Unfortunately, there is no workaround for the issue you are encountering at the moment.

Hi @ArshilAhmad ok thanks for the update, but the complicated flow doesn't solve anything. Because the basic problem is that Pabbly triggers for every single file upload and that complicated flow doesn't change that either as the issue is the trigger.

I’m afraid the use case you’re trying to achieve is currently not possible, as Google Drive does not have a trigger event for files uploaded to subfolders of a specific folder.

Isn't it possible if you have a step that enables you to take a main google folder path and it then finds all subfolders of that folder. And based on that list one can use a Loop to run commands.

Couldn't this work?

You can use the Google Drive: Get Sub Folders of a Folder action step to list all subfolders within a specific main folder, and then use an Iterator to loop through all the subfolders of that folder.

However, there are two issues here:

Issue 1: What would be the trigger step for this workflow?
Issue 2: The Get Sub Folders of a Folder action step lists only the immediate (child) subfolders within the main folder.

For example, if you configure it to list all subfolders of a specific folder, it will return only the subfolders directly inside that folder

It will not list the subfolders within those subfolders.

Issue 1: Trigger step 1 yeah, I guess it wouldn't work if the trigger step is the root accounting folder, because files never go there. The problem is as months go new folders would be added and I can't predict the names of those folders.
Issue 2: Ok, yeah, that still doesn't solve it then. Can't a loop somehow be constructed that then go into the first subfolder and gets all of that one's subfolder and for each subfolder there go into that subfolder etc. and that then just stops running when all subfolders have been gone through?
Or could it somehow do the above and then as it goes through those it saves the Ids of every folder subfolder it finds and then afterwards I pass that array with Ids to an iterator or something?

How could this be constructed?

No, that’s not possible. There is no Google Drive action event that can do that.
