two webhooks from Webflow form submission

Dear everyone,

we are having an issue with Webflow form submissions. In Pabbly we have the Webflow v1 connector active and receive form submissions from Webflow. Since last week we see 2 events in Pabbly that are identical, while in Webflow I see only one submission entry per form submission event.

Does anyone know this behavior and how to prevent that?

In Webflow we have 2 localizations for the page with the form. But the form submission of course only comes via one localization. In the webhook API information received I cannot see any difference between the 2 events, only one is coming 2-3 seconds after the other.

Thanks for any help!

Cheers,
Carsten

Hello @caschw

The errors you're experiencing may be due to multiple clicks on the "Save and Send Test Request" button, which could have led to Multiple triggers(data duplication). For more details, please refer to the attached image.

We recommend setting up the workflow again from scratch. Be sure to click the "Save and Send Test Request" button once. If you want to capture another response use the "Recapture Webhook Response" button. Please test this setup to see if it resolves the issue.

Hi @Preeti Paryani ,

thanks for your answer, unfortunately the issue does not come from the workflow design. I did not touch the workflow, we have customers filling out our Webflow form and sending the form. In Pabbly we receive 2 times the form submission (without anyone editing or testing resend the form data).
In Webflow we see only once the form submission, but in Pabbly we receive for every form submission 2 webflow webhook events with identical data. Noone is pushing a resend button in Pabbly for this.

Our Webflow developer could not find any issue in Webflow, the form submission there is only once available, but we have everytime 2 events in Pabbly with a differnce of 3 seconds.

Hello @caschw

It could be possible while creating the workflow there could be multiple clicks happened.

We recommend setting up the workflow again you can clone this workflow and set up the connection with the trigger step again. Be sure to click the "Save and Send Test Request" button once. If you want to capture another response use the "Recapture Webhook Response" button. Please test this setup to see if it resolves the issue.

Hi @Preeti Paryani

ok I was setting up the workflow again. Now I only receive one webhook event.

Good to know, but couldn't this "error" be caught and prevented by the platform? Because with complex workflows this is quite a pain to re-create them if such a mistake happens and you only figure out in the error case. Is the development working on that? Or simply deactivating the "Save & Send Test Request" button after clicking it the first time?

Cheers,
Carsten

We do warn users when they click on 'Save & Send Test Request' more then once to inform them of the implications.
