Understanding Pabbly Hook vs Pabbly Connect

Hi,

I'm a Pabbly Connect customer, and exploring the other Pabbly products that are available.

I'm not quite understanding what the distinction between Pabbly Connect (which supports webhooks) and Pabbly Hook is. Is there something Pabbly Hook does that Pabbly Connect does not? Or is Pabbly Hook just a "webhooks only" version of Pabbly Connect?

Hello @JoshBeall,

Pabbly Connect uses webhooks as triggers to start automations, whereas Pabbly Hook is a dedicated webhook management platform. Pabbly Hook provides advanced features like rate limiting, retries, filtering, transformation, and detailed logging before forwarding data — which Pabbly Connect does not.

So, Pabbly Hook is not a “webhooks-only” version of Pabbly Connect, but rather a specialized tool for managing webhooks at scale, while Pabbly Connect focuses on building automation workflows.

So just to clarify, if I want scalable webhook - let's say 20-30k events a month.
Then, is it better to stick with pabbly connect webhooks OR use specialised hook for that and forward to pabbly connect for workflow.

Both Pabbly Connect Webhooks and Pabbly Hook can handle 20–30k trigger events per month. The difference is that Pabbly Hook offers additional features like rate limiting, delay, filters, and transformations. If your use case requires any of these features, you can use Pabbly Hook.
