I created a workflow to receive incoming messages from API to google sheet.

It is using 1 task every time when a message is going through the API, the status changes to delivered and if someone sends the message.

Ideally, I should only get the hit while the incoming message on cloud API. It would save my credits which are unnecessarily getting spent.

You can add a Filter as the second step of your workflow to ensure that the message is saved only when you receive the message, not when the status changes to delivered.
