Systeme.io and Mailerlite workflow question

Hi there,

I am brand new here after encountering a gazillion issues with Zapier and Make trying to set up my workflow here. So, I have a tripwire funnel with Systeme.io (Sio, for short) but the newsletters/emails will be sent from Mailerlite (ML, for short) - new, not the classic.

the Sio bit seems to work (the webhook is set as an automation rule for my lead magnet page - my tripwire sale page will have another one specifically for making a sale, I hope that is correct too!), but I have a question regarding the ML workflow. When I initially tried setting this up in Make (which does not have Sio as an integrated app, so I had to use custom webhooks), their AI system said that after the Sio module, I first needed an ML module to add/update subscribers and then add another ML module to subscribe them to a specific group.

However, I am not sure if that is the same workflow as here. Can anyone tell me what I should do? Thank you.

Hi @NathalieW,

If your use case is to add subscribers in MailerLite and then assign them to a group, then yes, you would need the 'Create or Update Subscriber' action step along with the 'Assign Subscriber to a Group' action step. This will allow you to first create the subscriber in MailerLite and then assign them to a group.
