About Share Workflow and Share URL Behavior

Hello,

I have a few questions regarding the Share Workflow feature:

1. If I change the content of a Share Workflow, will the changes be immediately reflected when accessing the shared URL?
2. Is it possible to enable or disable the Share URL?
3. Can I update the Share URL and generate a new one?

I would appreciate any insights or official documentation on this.

Hello @tokyo2025,

The Share Workflow URL will only contain the steps present at the time of generating the URL. Any changes made to your workflow afterward will not be reflected in the previously shared URL.

Additionally:

• You cannot update an existing Share Workflow URL, but you can generate a new one if you've made changes to your workflow.
• It is not possible to enable or disable a Share URL. Anyone with the link can access and clone the workflow into their account.

I appreciate the clarification regarding the Share Workflow URL functionality.

• I plan to sell a manual on automated blog posting with Pabbly, so it’s unfortunate that anyone with the Share URL can access it and that changes are not reflected after updates.
• I hope that this feature will be improved in the future to allow for more flexibility.

Thank you for your previous response, and I appreciate your help.

I apologize for asking without testing it myself first.

After conducting a test using a temporary workflow, I found that:

• When I added a new task or made modifications within a task module, the Share Workflow URL was automatically updated with a new unique value.
• This confirms that certain changes trigger the generation of a new Share URL, rather than keeping the existing one.
• Additionally, even if a workflow is moved to the trash, the Share URL remains active and functional.
• However, if the workflow is permanently deleted, the Share URL becomes invalid and results in an error.

I now have a better understanding of how the Share URL works.
