Affiliate commission

If someone follows an affiliate link to one product, then buys another product (that also has a commission), will that affiliate get the commission?

In other words, once someone follows an affiliate link, will they get credit for any purchases in the network?

If so, how long with the affiliate credit be active?

It depends on the target URL that you've set. For example, If you've seen our pricing pages, you'll notice that we have more than 90 plans for Pabbly Subscription and we run an affiliate program. URL: https://pabbly.com/subscriptions/pricing/

So, Instead of creating 90 target URLs for each plan. We've set up the target URL as our domain (pabbly.com) and set commission rules of each plan. When the affiliate refers the customer from their unique referral URL that they get in their affiliate portal, the customer gets redirected to our home page. And if they decide to make any purchase, the commission if generated for the affiliate that referred them.

This can work for you too. Just make sure to set the relevant target URL and to use Pabbly Subscription Billing's checkout pages. Also, commission rules should be created for all product and plans.

Ok. That great, but I want to be clear.

I will use Pabbly checkouts for sure. But they will be on different domains.

So, if a target URL is used to one domain, but they follow an ad (for example) to another that has the checkout and commission rules set, will they get credit?

And if yes, how long does that commission apply from the time they used that URL?

1. If you set the main domain as the target URL, and there are pages added to that website then it would work. Here's an example:-

Target URL: mydomain.com

Now if an affiliate refers a customer to your website(mydomain.com) and you have products on the page of your website which has URL mydomain.com/page1 with commission rules created for all products, then the commission would be generated if the customer makes the purchase from this page(mydomain.com/page1).

2. The duration for the commission to be generated after the customer accesses the referral URL can be set by you. It's called cookie period. You can set it from your merchant account.

I hope the information helps. :)

OK. So an affiliate of ours would need two links for two separate domains, correct? Even if they all go through Pabbly, and all products have commission rules set up.

Correct?

That's correct. You need to create two separate target URLs for different domains and all products should be created in Pabbly Subscription Billing have commission rules.

Ok. Thank you! *smiles*

Is there a chance that there could ever be a setting through would allow an affiliate click to apply across domains? After all, if I've approved them, and all the commissions are set, I'd love to be able to link them all without dozens of URLs required in each instance.

Or, wait.

If the checkout pages are always on the same domain (even if embedded), would that count as a single domain, even if the URL leads to different domains to start them?

If you just want to collect payment via Pabbly Subscription Billing's checkout pages for the services that you're offering through other domains then it can be done. The commission would be generated in that case too if the commission rules are created.
