Hi @Technology Coaching,

Groundhogg requires you to map the Tag ID associated with each specific tag. For example, the Tag ID associated with "TYTT Non Attendee" in Groundhogg is 159 So, if you want to add "TYTT Non Attendee" as a tag to a particular contact, you need to map "159".

Since this Tag ID is not provided directly from the Google Sheets trigger step, you need to add a Lookup Table to your workflow and include all tags (you receive in Google Sheets) and their respective Tag IDs in this step. This Lookup Table will give you the Tag ID associated with a particular tag, which you can then map to Groundhogg.

Please watch the video shared below. Although it does not show the data being passed in the Groundhogg action step, it demonstrates the logic we have described above.

I'm not sure where you got the TYTT Non attendee from? It shouldn't be tagging it as this.

The tag is to be assigned as the user is added to a contact in Groundhogg. The tag being pulled from the cell in the spreadsheet.
The first name, the email, and the tag is to be assigned at this stage.
I do not need to do what you have shared above. This should really be a simple setup

"TYTT Non Attendee" is a tag in your tag list in Groundhogg. The tag you had mapped from Google Sheets was not present in your Groundhogg account.

Would you like to create a new tag based on the data received in the Google Sheets trigger step and then add that tag to the contact?

Yes, the goal is
User completed form. Form data shared to Google Sheets.
In Pabbly, Google sheets column data of 'First Name', Email address' and 'tag' data, is added to Groundhogg as a new contact.
In Groundhogg, contact with that tag, is sent an email flow.
In Groundhogg - there are tag's setup for 'Observer', 'Contributor', 'Enabler', and 'Champion'.
These 4 tags trigger 4 different flows i. Groundhogg.
What I couldn't understand is that in Pabbly - I had set the 'tag' to pull the data from the Google sheet. So I couldn't understand why the tag was being pulled from the last Tag that was created in Groundhogg.
The contact is being sent to Groundhogg, the name and email. It's the tag that is not working.

Hello @Technology Coaching,

Thank you for the clarification.

We noticed that the tags you’ve mentioned in Groundhogg—Observer, Contributor, Enabler, and Champion and the tags being received from your Google Sheets data appear to be different, as observed on our end.

To help us assist you better, could you please confirm how you plan to map or differentiate the incoming tags from Google Sheets in order to correctly assign one of these four Groundhogg tags? Specifically, on what basis should a user be tagged as Observer, Contributor, Enabler, or Champion, based on the data being received?

Once we understand the mapping logic, we’ll guide you on how to structure your workflow accordingly.

Looking forward to your response.

Hi Preeti, they shouldnt be different. They aren't on my side. The tag shouldnt be assigned from groundhogg, the tag is to be assigned from the google sheet. based upon the column cell data.
when I explained the journey above, was this not clear?
when a user completed the form, they are assigned a persona. This is fed through to the Google sheet, and named as 'tag'.
the pabbly, is to send them to groundhogg from the spreadsheet. the pabbly to send the name, email, and assign the tag so that the automation flow in groundhogg can then take over.
This is a really simple automation. However it seems that pabbly may not be able to do this.
