Error emails

I have only today started receiving error emails again when a workflow step encounters an error. It has been 2 months or possibly longer since I've received a single error email. Please explain why they stopped and why they only started working again today for every and all workflow I have running.

I want to let you know that as of now we do not have any feature to turn off or on the error email notifications and we do not have made any changes from our end.

However, the issue seems to be a blockage issue because of which you haven't received emails sent by us.
 
There is no bloackage on my side. You haven't sent an error email in over 2 months and now they just randomly started working again.
