By following these steps, you can effectively utilize Facebook Page triggers and streamline your workflow.
Trigger Event: New Post
- Select the "New Post" trigger event.
- To establish a connection with Facebook Pages, choose a new connection and click on the "Connect to Facebook Pages" button.
- Choose the page name in which the new post will be created.
- Click on the "Save & Save Test" button, and then add a new post on the Facebook page, to capture the webhook response for a new post.
- To streamline the data flow, it is essential to employ the initial action as a filtering step, configuring the following fields to filter for (verb=add, published=1, item=status) or (verb=add, published=1, item=photo) or (verb=add, published=1, item=Video).
Trigger Event: New Comment
- Follow the same steps mentioned above for the "New Comment" trigger.
- Enter your Facebook Pages account credentials to connect or make an established connection with an already logged-in account.
- Click on the "Save & Save Test" button, and when a new comment is received on the Facebook post it will capture the webhook response for for new comment.
- To streamline the data flow, it is essential to employ the initial action as a filtering step, configuring the following fields to filter for verb=add, and item=comment.
- In order to prevent possible recursion in the response to a comment during the subsequent action, it is crucial to implement a webhook filter based on the "Res1 From Id" to ensure it does not match the account ID of the owner. Note: Copy the "Res1 from ID" paste it into the "filter value" and put the "filter type=Does not equal to" as shown in the screenshot below.
Trigger Event: New Like
- Follow the same steps mentioned above for the "New Like" trigger.
- Enter your Facebook Pages account credentials to connect or make an established connection with an already logged-in account.
- Click on the "Save & Save Test" button, and when a new like is received on the Facebook post it will capture the webhook response for for new like.
