Feed Pull

Hi guys,

Looking for a way to do this, i want to pull a website RSS feed from Pabbly to Google Sheets but only when a new post is added to a specific category e.g https://www.gadgetgram.com/category/gadgets/

I know how to set this up for the entire site (every time a post is added pulling from https://www.gadgetgram.com/feed/) , but how can i get Pabbly to only update Google Sheets when there is a new post in a certain category?

Hey @chris007

You can use the "Google Sheets : Lookup Spreadsheet Rows" action step in your workflow and can check for the existing data in your Google Sheets.

So, in that way you can only feed the data which is new to your previously added data.

You can refer to the following video tutorial on how you can use the Lookup Value action step.

We have added the "Google Sheets : Lookup Spreadsheet Rows" action step after the trigger event along with the filter action step to restrict the entire which is already in your Google Sheet.

Kindly review that up and let us know if that works for you.

Thanks, just to confirm i would really have to have two sheets right

1) To pull all the data from the website first (from RSS feed)
2. Then use Pabbly Vlookup function on that sheet to only select certain data to add to the main sheet

Is that correct?

Instead, you should pass all the products individually in AND condition and then others with OR condition.

E.g. - For your particular case.

I want to pull URLs from https://www.gadgetgram.com/ (via their RSS feed https://www.gadgetgram.com/feed/) but only URLs from the gadgets category that is all. And exclude anything else. Then pull that into a google sheet. Does your setup above achieve that?

If you are getting the URL in your content then you can use the "Text Formatter by Pabbly : Text (Basic Formatting)" to extract the URLs.
