Gmail Integration with Pabbly Connect:

This documentation provides a detailed, step-by-step guide for integrating your Gmail account with Pabbly Connect. Following these instructions will enable you to establish a seamless connection between the two platforms.

Integration Steps:

1. Select the "Gmail" application in the trigger:

  • Within Pabbly Connect, navigate to the trigger step and choose "Gmail" as the trigger you wish to perform. Select a trigger event "New Email".

  • Your Gmail account is now connected. Choose the labels that you want to monitor for new emails. You can choose multiple labels as well. Also, choose in which body type format you want your email content to be captured i.e. in "Plain Text" or "HTML".

  • Before clicking "Save and Send Test Request", follow and keep these points in mind.

(NOTE: Trigger Setup While Workflow Is Active: You can set up a trigger even when the workflow is turned ON. However, please note that the initial dummy message will not be visible in the trigger step’s UI. Despite this, the dummy message will still be available for mapping in action steps. We recommend turning OFF the workflow before clicking "Save and Send Test Request" to capture the dummy response. You can turn the workflow back ON once you capture the first dummy response.

Accessing Email Messages: Your email message will be accessible under the Res2 key in response to this trigger.

Handling the SENT Label: If you configure the trigger to use the SENT label (to run automation for every sent message), do not use a send email action without incorporating a break logic. Failing to do so may trigger fire recursively, leading to unexpected outgoing emails and the potential exhaustion of your email quota.

Trigger Inactivity: The trigger will become inactive if there are no activities in your mailbox (for the selected labels) for a continuous period of 6 days.

    Limit on "New Email" Triggers:
Only one "New Email" trigger is allowed per user. To set up a new trigger for a different workflow, you must first remove the existing trigger by using the "Remove Trigger" action step).

  • NOTE: Please note that this webhook checks the request at regular intervals. If no new emails are found, it will return a "No New Message" response. This is not an error message; your email will be captured once it arrives in your Gmail inbox.

Successful Integration:
Upon completing the above steps, your Gmail account will now be successfully integrated with Pabbly Connect. You can utilize the trigger to capture the response of New Emails.
With this integration, you can automate processes through Pabbly Connect, improving your workflow and enhancing your productivity.
