Integrating Custom App User Inputs with Pabbly Connect for Dynamic Google Maps Workflow

Situation:
I am building a custom software app where the user sends requests and gets a list of locations. I need to be able to take the user's inputs, such as mode of travel, origin, and destination, from my custom app and put them into Pabbly to connect dynamically with all the waypoints in between for multiple locations.

I have a webhook connected to my application since it is locked and has no API.

Current workflow = Webhook > Google Maps Get Directions > Data Forwarder

How do I use dynamic tokens for the locations, mode of travel, and destination so that my Custom App user inputs get filled in correctly within Pabbly Connect?

If I have a locked-down API, how do I send the results back as a map with a Google Map link for the users to use?

I assumed I would have to use a data forwarder, but I have no idea what info I need to enter to send it back to my custom app interface. I don't want it to go to an email, for example.

If you need more info, let me know. I would also like to send a distance matrix, but I am assuming I would need to create a new workflow. Could you help me figure that out as well?

I attached screenshots also with Make Google Maps actions to add more like they have.

Hello @Rainmaker,

Upon checking your workflow URL, we noticed that your current structure aligns with the attached image, and it is successfully capturing data from the source via the webhook. In the Google Maps section, you're currently using the action named “Google Maps: Get Directions.”

Could you please confirm whether you're receiving all the required information from this step?
If not, we recommend adding the “Get Distance Matrix” action to see if it helps gather the missing information, especially if you're looking to calculate distances or durations between multiple locations.

Additionally, in your final step, where the data is forwarded back to the source, the response is showing a 500 error code. Could you please confirm if the data is being captured correctly at your custom app interface? This error generally indicates that the endpoint may not be accepting the response properly.

Looking forward to your response so we can assist you further.

From my understanding, Driving Directions should still work since you can have waypoints between origin and destination, correct? My custom app already organizes them into the best route.

Something is going on with the Google Maps module since it doesn't show the names of the places. That is the issue since I used the webhook data in the last step.

I am supposed to use the data from the Google Maps module instead of the webhook, but something is wrong. I cannot see the names of the waypoints to put into the last step. How do I fix this? Nothing appears in my custom app after I run the workflow.

Hello @Rainmaker,

Upon reviewing your workflow, we noticed that the Data Forwarder step wasn't functioning correctly due to an issue with the JSON structure. We've gone ahead and corrected it on your behalf.

Could you please test it now and let us know if you encounter any further issues? We're here to help!

Hi @Preeti Paryani , it worked since you changed the missing colon ":" in my JSON to fix it. Sometimes, people need a little guidance and extra eyes to fix things. I received little help from your email support team and was ready to refund my LTD of $699 for Pabbly Connect, but because you were patient and helped me resolve my issue, I am keeping Pabbly Connect.

Please share this with your team so you can be compensated more and promoted. People like you are the reason businesses are growing.

I will test the Google Matrix, Places, and other Actions in Maps and let you know how they go if I need any additional guidance. Thank you for your help!
