[Lead Connector] Partial Failure - Email Must Be An Email

I'm getting partial failures saying the email must be an email. This is when no email is present. However, there is a phone number present. LC requires either email OR phone number. How do I prevent the failure when there is no email (most leads do have an email)? Thanks!
