Hi,

I have this workflow.

Previously it was set to move a file from 1-input to 3-done.
However as another user dropped a file from 1-input to 3-done, after it was transcribed an error was sent to my email.

This email is to notify you that for the workflow "accept-salad-webhook-gdocsCreate-gdriveMove" , a recent task was not executed due to following error -

Task History ID: IjU3NjUwNTZkMDYzZjA0MzQ1MjZiNTUzMDUxM2E1MTYyNTQzNzBmMzci_pc
Step Name: Google Drive > Move a File
Connection Name: Google Drive #3
Task Error Detail:

{
"error > code": 403,
"error > message": "Increasing the number of parents is not allowed",
"error > errors > 0 > message": "Increasing the number of parents is not allowed",
"error > errors > 0 > domain": "global",
"error > errors > 0 > reason": "cannotAddParent"
}

It seems that this is an issue if another user is dropping the file and the workflow was not able to move the file after.
I tried searching thru the threads and found this.

However I think my implementation might be wrong for part 5 and 6.

Hello @ericcpi

Please confirm if the folder name is required to be static(refer to the attached image) or going to be dynamic, so we can suggest a workaround.

Could you please elaborate a bit more on your exact use case? Please specify the file you want to move, the folder it is currently in, and the folder you want to move it to.

Use case is salad transcription in which audio is dropped in the 1-input folder, transcribed in 2-output using googl docs and after its done, move the file from 1-input to 3-done. After it's done then an email notification will be sent after.

It's not just me who can drop the file, other people as well. It transcribed fine but when the other people drop files they cannot move the file to 3-done.

It is webhook based as well and not pabbly timer like was suggested in other tutorials.

The other half of the workflow you can see on my workflow list.

Hello @ericcpi

Can you please confirm, if using automation you are trying to move the file or manually, because we could find such action in the workflow?

However, if using automation you are using so then we have added an action step to your workflow that will move the file to the required folder, refer to the attached screenshot.

PS: This way the Search folder action step is not required, you may delete it.

Kindly test whether a file added by another person in the 1-input folder gets moved to the 3-done folder.

Hi,

I can confirm that I am moving the file using automation. from 1-input to 3-done.
I saw your step on move a file for google drive and that was my previous workflow before "move a file". It created and email error and I saw other threads discussing about "Increasing the number of parents is not allowed"

}

I will observe for a file upload from a different person to observe the behavior if this will fix things.

Hello @ericcpi

We have tried to replace the "Move a file" action with "Move a File in Shared Drive" but we can not get the shared drive under the dropdown. Can you please confirm the Google Drive account with which the connection is established has the shared drive?

Yes, i can confirm that I own the shared drive there based on the google connection as well.

I saw other implemented versions of this and I cant wrap my head around the vLutes supposed on that shared drive and new folder location.

Hello @Preeti Paryani ,

No it's not available there as shared drive based on your screenshot.
It's only a shared folder accessible to other users inside the team and everyone is editor inside the folder.

Is there any way to achieve this on pabbly connect without making it as a shared drive and other users can drop and the workflow can transfer the files?
Please advise.

Hey @ericcpi

It seems that you’re trying to move a file shared with you by someone else, but the Google Drive API restricts this action. Unfortunately, even if you try moving the file manually through the Google Drive dashboard, it will not allow it. This is due to permissions Google sets on shared files, limiting where they can be moved.

Moving a shared file into a shared folder is not possible from Google Drive itself.

Hi,

I am an in house IT who established the pabbly connectivity and a proof of concept for the salad API, google docs transcription and ultimately moving the file to a different folder.

In production, files will be dropped by our transcriptionists and not me, I will only provide support for them in any case there are issues. So technically they will be the end users of this. Do you have any ways on how can we achieve to move the file?

One thing that I would like to ask is, how does Pabbly knows the file is already processed or not, when the workflow kicks in, assuming I don't move the file there. If I could just ensure that the file will not be re-processed again, then that might work as well.
