Securing PDF Ebooks through Pabbly?

Hey everybody,

Quick question - Does anyone know if there's a way to password secure a PDF through Pabbly OR add a watermark to a PDF automatically?

I am looking for a way of selling an ebook but I would want to put some security measure in place.

My process would be: Someone buys an ebook - the email gets added to a google sheet - the PDF gets secured with the user email as the password - and sent over to the customer.

OR - Someone buys an ebook - the email gets added to a google sheet - the pages of the PDF get watermarked with the customers email - and sent over to the customer.

Any ways to do this?

We don't have any option for protecting any PDF with a password.

Regarding placing watermark in PDFs, we suggest checking this video tutorial which helps you creating personalized PDF (ebook) to be sent to your customers -

Thank you for the tip.

This is great for smaller pdf's that could be converted to slides, but recreating a 200+ page book into Google slides is not something that should be done.

Is there any other way to do this kind of flow with Google docs by any chance?

Can the same {{value}} be used in Google docs so Pabbly fills in the blanks?

Unfortunately with Google Docs, it's currently not possible. We do have this feature request in our roadmap, and in near future, we will be supporting this functionality with Google Docs as well.

Thanks!

I see. Thanks for your help anyway.

If there's something that pops up that would have a functionality for securing documents like this I would appreciate if you keep me up to date - if at all possible.

Thanks one more time.
