Set Trigger Time

In Pabbly Connect, we have introduced a new feature that allows users to set trigger times for their workflows. This feature is available exclusively for polling-based triggers and can only be accessed by customers on the premium plan. Here, we will guide you through the steps to set the trigger time for your workflows.

What is a Polling-Based Trigger?
Polling-based triggers periodically check for new data at specified trigger time. Unlike instant triggers that activate immediately when an event occurs, polling triggers checks for new data at regular time intervals.

Steps to Set Trigger Time

  • Navigate to the Pabbly Connect dashboard and select the workflow you want to edit. In this example, we are using a workflow named "Indiamart to WhatsApp".
  • In the workflow editor, locate the trigger step. For this example, the trigger is set to "IndiaMART: New Leads".
  • Click on the three dots (more options) next to the trigger step to open a dropdown menu. Select "Set Trigger Time" from the list of options.

  • A new window will pop up labeled "Set Trigger Time." Here, you can select the trigger time at which the trigger should check for new data.

  • After selecting the trigger time, click on the "Save" button to set the trigger time. Your workflow will now check for new leads from IndiaMART at the specified trigger time.

Points to Remember

Inside Pabbly Connect, you can setup the time duration between polls in the following trigger time -
  • Check every 10 minutes
  • Check every 20 minutes
  • Check every 30 minutes
  • Check every 40 minutes
  • Check every 50 minutes
  • Check every 60 minutes
  • Check every 90 minutes
  • Check every 2 hours
  • Check every 3 hours
  • Check every 4 hours
  • Check every 5 hours
  • Check every 6 hours
  • Check every 8 hours
  • Check every 12 hours
  • Check every 24 hours
Example 1

Let's say the default polling time for your desired trigger is "Every 4 hrs". This means we will be polling in every 240 minutes.

We allow reducing the time window to the eighth of the allowed trigger time limit. So 240/8 = 30 minutes.

So, you can reduce the time for your trigger to a value that is greater than every 30 minutes.

According to the allowed time duration window, it falls in the "Check every 30 minutes" option and more. So all the options above 30 minutes will be displayed to the user.

Example 2

Let's say the default polling time for your desired trigger is "Every 1 hour". This means we will be polling in every 60 minutes.

We allow reducing the time window to the eighth of the allowed trigger time limit. So 60/8= 7.5 minutes.

So, you can reduce the time for your trigger to a value that is greater than every 7.5 minutes.

According to the allowed time duration window, it falls in the "Check every 10 minutes" option and above. So all the options equal to and above 10 minutes will be displayed to the user.
