Suggestions to Improve Email Automation and Marketing Features in Pabbly Email Marketing

I have been using Pabbly Email Marketing for a while now and appreciate its capabilities. However, I believe there are some major bugs and obvious features missing that could make the platform more efficient and user-friendly. Below are my observations and suggestions:
  1. Lead Scoring:
    • Add points for actions like email opens, link clicks, subscribing to a sequence, or completing a sequence.
    • ActiveCampaign has implemented this feature excellently.
  2. Email Automation Challenges:
    • Unable to duplicate/clone emails inside automation.
    • New emails must be created from the dashboard and then added to automation. (Kit. com handles this efficiently with separate options for broadcast and automation emails.)
  3. User Experience Limitations:
    • Limited emojis available in the dropdown next to the subject line.
    • Minimum delay for automation is 15 minutes; lesser delays are currently not possible.
    • Editor collapsing bug (refer to screen recording).
    • Nested bullet points have a spacing issue.
    • Edits made to emails are not saved properly (refer to screen recording).
    • Image upload feature inside the email editor isn’t working.
    • Personalisation dropdown list has UI/UX issues (refer to screenshot).
  4. API and Subscriber Management:
    • "Add or update email subscriber" is not available in the API; as of now, we must first check if a subscriber exists and then update accordingly.
    • Difficulty in adding single subscriber manually; custom fields should auto-retrieve, but currently, we need to find and type them manually and type them with values.
  5. Automation Flexibility:
    • No option to select custom times for sending emails in automation.
    • Managing SMTP for each email in automation is tedious.
    • A/B testing for subject lines is missing.
    • Ability to track what automations a subscriber is linked to, what emails they have received, opened, or clicked is unavailable. (Kit. com offers this level of transparency.)
  6. Email Management:
    • Lists are not functional; the default list should ideally contain all subscribers in the account. (Kit. com implements this effectively.)
    • No option to check the list of people who opened a specific email inside automation.
    • Ability to create and save custom email templates for reuse is needed.
    • Fixed footer templates would save time; currently, we have to manually edit footer blocks with company details and hyperlinks for every email.
    • Email name and subject line should be separated. It will make differentiation easier.
  7. Branding Options:
    • Option to remove the "Sent with Pabbly" branding.
I believe the best way to address these improvements is by conducting a community poll to identify which email marketing tools have worked best for users. In my experience, Kit. com and ActiveCampaign stand out as benchmarks.

I will continue to update this post if I recall any additional points. Thank you for considering these suggestions, and I hope to see Pabbly evolve into an even more powerful tool.
