Pabbly Connect Telegram Bot integration allow you to communicate with Groups/Channels or other chats through your Telegram Bot. Follow these steps to create a bot in Telegram and get the token for the connection.

How to retrieve token for connection?

1. Go to https://telegram.me/BotFather.
2. When the chat-window with the bot will be open in the Telegram, press the /start button, you will see below bot commands.

3. To create a new bot click /newbot and provide a suitable name for it.

4. After that you must choose a username for your bot. Just follow the instructions on the screen

5.Once the username is chosen, your bot will be automatically created and ready to use. You can see message from BotFather containing the token, which you can use to connect Telegram Bot to Pabbly Connect.

Telegram Bot Action:

To use the Telegram Bot in the action step, you must first add the Telegram Bot to your Telegram Group/Channel where you want to send the message and promote the bot to admin using either the Telegram Mobile Application or the Telegram Desktop Application.

To get the Chat ID:

1. Log in to Telegram Web in your browser. (To log in using the Telegram Mobile App, go to Settings > Devices > Link Desktop Device and scan the QR code.)
2. Open the chat of the Telegram Group/Channel where you want to send the message and have added your Telegram bot.
3. After opening the chat of the Telegram Group/Channel/User, you can find the Chat ID in the URL. For example, if the URL is https://web.telegram.org/z/-1742441346, then -1742441346 is the Chat ID of the Telegram Group/Channel/User.
4. Enter this Chat ID in the Chat ID field of your Telegram Bot action step.

Note: For Telegram Channel, enter the Chat ID with the prefix 100. For example, if your channel ID is -155545555, then the chat ID will be -100155545555 or the username of the target channel (in the format @channelusername or @supergroupusername).
