BigCommerce to Monday.com create item then subitem to it

Thanks @Resham I think we're getting close. The 'subitem' is now being created, however the following fields are still not populating. Can you take a look at step #6 (Create SubItem) and see if I'm mapping everything correctly from the BigCommerce order.

Hello @ec_206,

Upon reviewing the workflow, it appears that the action step is not properly configured. I’ve recorded a short screen walkthrough to guide you through the necessary corrections.

Kindly refer to the video and follow the steps shared. Once done, please let us know the outcome so we can assist you further if needed.

Thank you @Preeti Paryani , I added a lookup table for a few of the product options, however not sure if I'm doing this correctly in particular the "Lookup Key". I thought the Key would be the option name "Shape" however that fails when I send the test request. When I set the Key to the option 'display value' it successful, but then not sure if I'm mapping this correctly in the create subitem step.

Hi @Preeti Paryani one thing I just came across is the columns in the main Item are "linked" to the columns in the Subitem. In step 5 (Create Item), I don't see the Laminate, Material, Profile columns to map. Could this be the issue when trying to map those columns in the Subitem?

Hello @ec_206,

For testing purposes, we have cloned your existing workflow and created an item named “Pabbly Test Item.” A subitem has also been added under it, along with the relevant status types and fields.

Kindly check and confirm if the subitem is functioning as expected.

Let us know in case you face any issues.

Thanks @Preeti Paryani , I see your test item, but the SubItem columns (Laminate, Material, Profile) are still empty. Do you think if we have our client remove the "mirroring" of the parent item column this may fix the issue? I'm not sure why they are mirroring those columns.

HI @Preeti Paryani here is more information from our client.

"The Laminate Material and Profile tiles on the main item are just summaries of data in the sub item, they are not changeable/clickable, if i delete the link they will just get deleted from the main item. We had it set up differently for our old board but I couldn't automate it to let us know when there was a mix of data in the sub items. I can do some more tests on our current board while you guys continue tests on the new website board. I will let you know what I am able to come up with."

Hello @ec_206,

Thanks for the update and for sharing your client’s input.

Based on the details, the issue may be linked to the setup of the old board, particularly with the mirrored columns. This could be why subitem fields aren't updating as expected.

To help us confirm, please try the following:
  • Create a new subitem on your current board.
  • Manually update the Laminate, Material, and Profile fields to check if they accept changes.
  • If manual edits work, run a test from Pabbly on the new board and check if the subitem fields update correctly.
We’ve tested the same setup on our end, and everything is working as expected. A short screen recording from your side would help us compare and better understand what might be going wrong on your end.

Let us know how it goes.
