How to Send Test Emails?

I've created a template and would like to send it as a test email to just one address. How do I do that? I was expecting a "Send test email" in the preview area. Do you do it some other way?

PS. Nothing comes up in the help docs if you search "test email".

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out. There isn't a dedicated "Send test email" button in the preview area, which is why you couldn't find it. Instead, Pabbly Email Marketing lets you review your email in a couple of ways:

1. While building the campaign, you can preview how the email/template will appear in the preview pane on the right side of the screen (with device toggles where available).

2. To actually send a test to yourself, use the Send Mail to Individual emails option - enter your own email address (or set up a small test list containing the addresses you want) and send it as a campaign. This lets you check formatting, links, images, and overall layout before sending to your subscribers.

One note: whether an email lands in the Inbox or Spam depends mainly on your domain and sender reputation, authentication records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), content, and the recipient's mail provider - so a test send alone can't guarantee inbox placement, but it's great for verifying appearance.

Hi Naman - thanks for this. Could I suggest a feature request where you can send a test email from the preview area? It would save a lot of time when you just want to check appearance and how the email renders in different email clients rather than going through the whole send campaign procedure.
