How to Configure the Fields for the Pinterest: Create Video Pin Action​


Below is the step-by-step guide to setting up each field in the Pinterest: Create Video Pin action:




1. Link

Map the video URL you want to use to create the pin.

2. Title, Pin Description, Dominant Color, Alt Text

Enter these details based on the help text shown in the action step. Make sure they are relevant to your video content.

3. Board ID

Select the Board ID from the dropdown.
⚠️ Important: This should be an ads-only board. To create one:
  • Use the Pinterest: Create Board action.
  • Set the is_ads_only field to "true" during board creation.

4. Board Section ID

Provide the ID of the specific board section where the video pin should be added.

5. Note

Add a brief note explaining the purpose of the video pin, if required.

6. Is Removable

Choose whether this video pin should be removable or not.

7. Source Type

Define the type of source being used for the video content.

8. Media ID

Provide the Media ID generated from the Pinterest: Register Media Upload action.
✅ Only use the Media ID where the status is "SUCCEEDED".

To fetch the valid Media ID, you can run the following endpoint under get request via the Pinterest: Custom API Request action:

9. Cover Image URL

Add the URL of the image to be shown as the thumbnail (cover) for the video pin.
