Subject: Pabbly Connect β Chatflow Send Template Message: Invalid Media Link (404)
Status: Closed Β· Asked by Doon Law Mentor on Β· 0 views
Hello Pabbly Support Team,
We are facing an issue with the Pabbly Chatflow Send Template Message action in our Pabbly Connect Abandoned Cart workflow.
Error:Invalid media link: Request failed with status code 404
WhatsApp Template: dlm_cart_recovery_10m_en
Image URL:
https://appx-content-v2.classx.co.in/paid_course3/2026-08-27-0_12445555772148487.png
Tests completed:
The image opens successfully in an incognito browser.
The same approved template and image URL work when sending manually from Pabbly Chatflow.
Sending through Pabbly Connect with the dynamically mapped image URL returns 404.
Entering the identical image URL as plain text in Pabbly Connect also returns 404.
Removing the Header Params value did not resolve the issue.
Please investigate why the image works through Chatflow's manual sending interface but fails through the Pabbly Connect integration.
Kindly compare the media handling and request payloads of both methods and confirm whether there is an issue with the Send Template Message action.
Our existing email recovery workflow is functioning correctly, so we would prefer to avoid changes to unrelated steps.
Thank you,
Team Doon Law Mentor
Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out and for the detailed testing notes.
The "Invalid media link: 404" error you see through Pabbly Connect (even though the same URL works via manual sending from Chatflow) is a known behavior. When the media URL is passed directly into the Send Template Message action, the WhatsApp/Meta API cannot always resolve it in the exact format it requires at the moment of execution, even if the link opens fine in a browser. This is why manual sends from Chatflow can succeed while the Connect send fails.
We uploaded the same image in your Pabbly Chatflow accounts Media Library and used that link as the link you added was not highspeed link due to which the action step failed. We added another Pabbly Chatflow action after the reported action in your workflow and added the Media URL from Pabbly Chatflow, the action step executed successfully. Please check the workflow now.
so image url link will work or not?
i mean to say Dynamic image url?
in this case you have uploaded the images seprately.. but we want dynamic image from url, how we can ensure that?
one more thing, we have another workflow by name of Successful purchase.. there image url are flawless working.. coming from same source.. so why it is having an issue in this workflow
Hello there,
If the URL link is dynamic then use File Upload (Pabbly) action before the Pabbly Chatflow action and upload your file to Pabbly's server, then map the generated URL in the Pabbly Chatflow action, make sure to add a delay step as well of few seconds so that file gets uploaded and link is generated. As per this requirement, I've already added the File Upload (Pabbly) action and mapped the Pabbly server highspeed link in the Pabbly Chatflow action, which executed successfully.

great. thank you
you may please close this call. Issue resolved. Thank you for prompt resolution
