Unable to update the complete row in Google Sheets
Status: Closed · Asked by Anshul Sharma on · 0 views
In some of the flows i want to update the complete row in the google sheet but the Google Sheets - Update Row event is not showing all the columns to map the values it is only showing upto column AZ and not the further columns. Earlier, i was using airtable which worked fine but now i am using Google Sheets.
Please look into this matter asap, it is very important for the business as it is not working properly.
Hi Anshul,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Have you tried the Update Row Values action?
Yes, but not all columns were visible in the list of columns
Hello Anshul,
Thank you for confirming.
Could you please share the Workflow Name and Workflow URL where you’re facing this issue, along with a screenshot of the Google Sheets – Update Row Values step showing the available columns?
Also, please confirm whether the columns beyond AZ have headers defined in your Google Sheet. If the headers are present, please make sure they are visible in the screenshot as well.
Once we have these details, we’ll review the setup and check why the columns beyond AZ are not appearing for mapping.

Hello Anshul,
Thank you for confirming the account email!
Since you are looking to dynamically update or append data across rows without being restricted by single-column field limits, please use the Google Sheets: Append Values action event instead.
Steps to set this up:
Choose App: Google Sheets
Action Event: Select Append Values
Select Spreadsheet: Choose your target sheet (e.g., Daily Updates 2026)
Select Sheet: Select your sheet tab (e.g., Sheet1)
Values: Enter or map your comma-separated values (e.g.,
"val1", "val2", "val3")
This action allows you to send data across as many columns as needed without needing to manually map individual column fields.
Please try this event and let us know if you need any further assistance!
Thanks & Regards,

I want to update the existing row with the new values, the row already contains the values
Hello Anshul,
Thank you for clarifying.
Since you want to update an existing row, you should use the Google Sheets – Update Row Values action event instead of Append Values.
To update the correct existing row, Pabbly first needs to identify which row should be updated. For this, you need to use the Lookup option to search for a unique value already present in the sheet, such as an ID, email address, or another unique field.
Once the matching row is found, you can map the new values to update that existing row.
Please try this setup and let us know if you need any assistance.
