A customer is returning to purchase but they have a previous credit, which was generated from a refund when they were subscribed, a subscription is now cancelled. How do we use their previous subscription for their single product purchase?

  1. so the client was subscribed to a recurring plan
  2. at one time they were given a refund
  3. they continued as a subscription but cancelled.
  4. However, their subscription credit was not used for some reason
  5. how do we apply their credit in their now cancelled subscription to a single purchase item?

Hello Ray,

Sorry for the delayed response.

Since the credits are managed with the billing of the same subscription, you will have to take a workaround in order to apply them in a new subscription.
You need to create a coupon of the same amount as the credits and provide it to your user so he can purchase the new plan with the credits adjusted in form of the coupon. Also, you can deduct the credits from the previous subscription as they are now used in the new subscription.

Further, if your user has already purchased the new subscription, you can simply add the credits to the new subscription so it can be managed in the next billing and deduct the credits from the previous subscription.

thank you Akanksha
it took too long to get the response.
So this is a real problem when a client ends but has credit remaining, customers with multiple subs on the same email should be able to be linked if they have credit.

Currently, credits work subscription-wise and not customer-wise. Hence, you have to follow the above-mentioned procedure.

However, we will take your feedback into consideration.
